Content Senior Content & Video Manager at Wild Alaskan Company

Develops and produces long-form video content by researching stories, directing production, and managing the end-to-end creative process for a sustainable seafood brand.

Senior Remote Posted 2 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Us

Wild Alaskan Company’s mission is to accelerate humanity’s transition to sustainable food systems by fostering meaningful, interconnected relationships between human beings, wild seafood and the planet.

We deliver wild-caught, sustainable seafood to households across the United States. Powered by our custom-built eCommerce platform and three generations of history and expertise in the Alaskan fishing industry, we constantly strive to meet our promise of a top-notch product and experience. And we do it all in a fully-remote environment that is fast-paced, challenging, and fun.

GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION

We’re hiring a storyteller to build a long-form video channel that makes people hungry, leaves them longing for Alaska (whether they’ve been there or not), and, every so often, moves them to tears.  This is a development-first role but with good working knowledge in production and management. You’ll spend more time finding stories, researching them, discovering new culinary trends than deep in production logistics. You need to know the whole production process, as you’ll be responsible for it end to end but we are not hiring just a pair of hands. We’re hiring for a point of view. This role reports to our VP of Creative and Brand.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Finding and developing the stories. What it takes to come back for a third season on an Alaska fishing boat. Follow the next generation fisherperson as she takes over her family’s setnet site. Follow a chef host as they put the secrets to perfectly crispy skin to the test. You’ll build and maintain a real pipeline of story leads, pitch them with a clear vision and argument for why each one matters towards channel and  brand growth and easily move on from the ones that don’t earn their place.
  • Pre-interviews and research. Long phone calls before anyone books a flight. Do the research, know a subject’s history, their vocabulary, the thing they’re proud of and the thing they don’t usually talk about. Walking into a shoot with a question no one else would have thought to ask.
  • Setting up production for success. Find the right crew, work with multiple producers, create scope, learn to schedule around tides and fishing openers, directing in the field, guiding the edit, delivering on schedule. You’ll do some of this yourself, work with content operations and hire out the rest. You’ll know when a piece needs a full crew and when it needs one person with a camera and two days of patience—must be flexible towards ideas based on budget.
  • Building the long-form channel and distributing across short form channels. Programming a slate, not posting videos. You will be responsible for series architecture, release cadence, thumbnails and titles that are on brand and perform on YouTube. You will oversee a Social Media Manager and be accountable for the channel’s growth and successful articulation of the brand, and you’ll have real opinions about how to get it there.
  • Managing a content team. An Editorial Content Producer and a Social Media Manager report to you. Your job is to give them clear content direction, unblock them, defend their good work, learn from them as much as help them get better. Guide their productions, distribution strategies and presentations.
  • Drive performance-minded creative that is worth watching. You’ll lead ideation and review for not just long form video but also paid ad video, bringing a sharp point of view on hooks, storytelling, pacing and brand. You’ll know what makes people stop, watch and act on both conversion and engagement content channels. You use performance to make the creative better, not just more optimized.
  • Making the food look like it tastes. About  half of the content we make has a seafood culinary focus. Beyond content around Alaskan lifestyle, you need genuine range to cover: content that shows appetite appeal, working with culinary personalities to keep viewers attention span—the goal here is both useful and inspiring food content.
  • Protecting the brand. We’re a company built on dedication and reverence for wild-caught fish from Alaska; we take inspiration from the place it’s from, the hard working people who provide it and thanks for the plates it ends up on— this doesn’t need embellishing, just real celebration.. You’ll be one of the loudest voices in the room about what’s true to that and what isn’t.

What Success Looks Like

  • A long-form channel with real, compounding audience growth — subscribers who came for one film and stayed for the next.
  • A story pipeline deep enough that we’re choosing between good options, not scrambling.
  • Two direct reports doing the best work of their careers.
  • The team watches a rough cut and gets hungry. Then, about four minutes later, gets a little choked up. We tell stories that make Alaskans proud.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • 7+ years in content, documentary, or brand film. Titles vary; the reel is what matters. Ability to deliver.
  • Experience reviewing creative data around organic and paid social channels.
  • A body of work with at least one deeply character-driven piece you developed yourself, from lead to delivery.
  • Demonstrated management experience. Not “led freelancers” — actual direct reports, reviews, growth.
  • Fluency across two worlds: the outdoors and food. You’re as comfortable around commercial fishing boats, rough weather and working waterfronts as you are in kitchens, with chefs and thinking about appetite. Direct experience in either world is a plus. Most candidates are strong in one. We need someone who can speak both languages.
  • Real understanding of long-form platform mechanics like YouTube. You can talk about viewership metrics and launch strategies.
  • Willing and able to travel often. Alaska in bad weather and test kitchens within the same quarter. Expect roughly 30% travel, weighted heavily toward the summer.
  • Full working knowledge of the production stack: research and development process, budgets, crew, camera, audio, post, color, sound, delivery. You don’t have to touch all of it. You have to be un-bluffable about all of it.
  • Who this isn’t for: If your only experience is primarily execution on someone else’s ideas — this is the wrong role, and you’d be unhappy in it. We have great production partners and are looking for more. What we don’t have is someone whose ideas are the reason the work exists.

What to include in your application:

  1. A reel. Required. A cut piece or a link to three finished projects, with a line on each telling us specifically what was yours: the idea, the development, the direction, the edit.
  2. One page on a story you developed from nothing. How you found it, what you learned in pre-interviews that changed your approach, and what you’d do differently.
  3. Three pitches for us. One character-driven, one culinary, one your call. A paragraph each. We’re not looking for polish, we’re looking for what you notice.

The starting salary range for this position is $125,000 - $130,000, commensurate with skills and experience. Wild Alaskan’s benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, 401k, PTO, safe/sick time, vacation, parental leave and more, as well as a delicious box of free fish every month.

Wild Alaskan participates in E-Verify. Please see the Notice of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work posters for more information.

Diversity of backgrounds and perspectives makes us stronger. We’re committed to creating a work environment that fosters growth, celebrates diversity and fundamentally makes all teammates feel welcome, accepted, nurtured and respected. As an equal Opportunity Employer,  Wild Alaskan Company does not discriminate against candidates on the basis of their disability, sex, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, veteran status, or any other protected status under the law.

If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and/or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please contact people@wildalaskancompany.com. Please note this email cannot provide application status updates.

You will collaborate closely with SEO Analysts and Website Onboarding to execute on content strategies that are useful, engaging, and effective in guiding target audiences through a decision funnel, driving calls and online appointment bookings for our clients’ practices.

While SEO content remains your primary day-to-day focus, you’ll also lend support on broader services projects — including proofreading services content (such as social media content and paid media landing pages), helping with video scripts, and contributing to infographic content — as part of our standard supporting content workflow.

We need a talented, detail-oriented writer who embraces AI as a tool for efficiency while keeping quality content as the top priority. You should be adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about delivering results for clients in the dental and medical space.

What You’ll Do

  • Help support services projects, such as writing or reviewing video scripts, as needed
  • Contribute content for infographics as part of standard supporting content deliverables

Project & Workflow Management

  • Receive content briefs from SEO Analysts for SEO content assignments
  • Receive customer questionnaires for homepage and custom content projects
  • Track all projects and workflows in JIRA (tickets) and HubSpot (campaign information)
  • Meet turnaround timelines: 1 week for time-sensitive requests, 2 to 3 weeks for standard requests
  • Communicate proactively with your supervisor and stakeholders if timelines are at risk

Client Collaboration

  • For complex projects or special client requests, collaborate directly with clients to understand their goals, brand, target audience, and practice details
  • Maintain a professional, service-oriented approach in all client-facing interactions

What You Should Have

Core Competencies

  • Skilled and Creative Writer: Ability to translate technical dental and medical concepts into clear, engaging copy for a general audience
  • SEO and Lead Generation Experience: Demonstrated experience creating copy that drives traffic and conversions for SEO and SEM campaigns

Content Multimedia Producer at CoLab

Creates product animations, motion design videos, and brand content to showcase engineering software capabilities across marketing channels.

Mid Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About CoLab At CoLab, we want to help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner.

We believe the fastest moving engineering teams in the world will soon automate all of the tedious aspects of design reviews—and CoLab is how they’ll do it. Our cloud-based platform enables collaborative, effective design conversations directly in the context of CAD.

Now, we’re building ReviewAI. By capturing expert knowledge and organizing feedback data, we’ve made it possible for AI to AutoReview drawings and 3D models. Now, engineers can spend less time on simple drawing checks and more time on tough technical problems.

About the Role We’re hiring a Multimedia Producer to bring CoLab’s story to life through product animations and motion-driven video content.

You’ll bring video projects to life once the core concept is defined. That means collaborating on the storyboard (which may originate from product marketing, field marketing, demand gen, or content), reviewing and challenging the creative direction, and then owning the execution from finalized storyboard through to the finished product.

Your work will fall into 3 core categories:

  1. Product Marketing Animations: You’ll design and animate videos that show how CoLab works, with a focus on visual clarity and compelling storytelling. These are multi-step engineering workflows that don’t come across in static images or screen recordings. You’ll help bring them to life through UI simulation, motion design, and animations that focus the viewer’s attention exactly where it needs to be.
  2. Demand Generation & Social Video: These videos will have faster turnaround times and higher volume. You might be editing clips of the CEO giving a talk or a customer providing a testimonial—shorter video edits that highlight real voices and social proof. These can be 30–60 seconds in length and published multiple times per month.
  3. Bringing the CoLab Brand to Life: You’ll craft distinctive, highly polished brand centric videos that strengthen CoLab’s visual identity and tell our story with clarity and impact.

What Success Looks Like By the end of your first quarter, success means:

  • Publishing one thoughtful, animated product marketing video per month
  • Shipping at least three short-form, live-action or social-ready video clips
  • Building a deep knowledge of CoLab, how the platform works, the problems it solves, and the audiences it serves.

Longer term, the goal is to ramp up to:

  • Producing two product marketing animations per month, working toward one per week as processes mature
  • Sustaining a consistent cadence of short-form video content across campaigns and platforms

This mix of polished brand videos, high-velocity social clips, and in-depth product explainers will give CoLab a consistent video presence, tailored to each stage of the buyer journey.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • You’re creatively driven, but deeply practical. You love the craft of motion design and want your work to make a real impact.
  • You have  strong knowledge of brand design and are able to work creatively within strict brand guidelines and established design systems, so that every video feels like a “CoLab video” from the moment it starts.
  • You have high standards and treat feedback as a way to sharpen your work—not a personal critique. You’ll revise something 12 times if that’s what it takes to make it excellent.
  • You know how to show—not just tell—how a technical product works. You bring a technical curiosity that helps you translate complex concepts into clean, sharp visuals.
  • You’re equal parts animator, motion designer, and editor. You know how to stage product moments, simulate UI interactions, and add visual polish that elevates the viewer experience.
  • You understand audio and know how to balance music, voiceover, and sound design to set the tone and elevate the content.
  • You’re motivated by visibility. You want to see your work out in the world, shared by teams and seen by future customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Take finalized storyboards and scripts and turn them into polished, engaging video assets
  • Work with  CMO, product marketing, and design to review, challenge, and refine storyboards
  • Design and animate product marketing videos that enhance clarity and showcase CoLab’s capabilities
  • Create high-volume, short-form demand-gen and social videos that drive visibility and engagement
  • Animate or enhance product workflows using motion design techniques to direct viewer focus and improve comprehension
  • Curate audio, voiceover, and visual assets to align with CoLab’s brand and tone
  • Manage projects from storyboard handoff through final delivery on a fast, iterative schedule with minimal oversight

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a motion design, animation, or multimedia production role, ideally in a B2B tech or SaaS environment
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, primarily After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Blender and screen-recording software
  • A compelling motion design and video editing portfolio that demonstrates expertise in creating product explainers, UI animations, and highly polished brand-focused content.
  • Ability to translate technical workflows into digestible, visually compelling animated formats
  • Bonus: experience with 3D animation, Lottie, or engineering-related software

Extra Details

  • This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive compensation package that includes stock options.
  • Extended health and benefits package, unlimited paid vacation, and RRSP matching.
  • Remote-friendly: you can work from anywhere in North America, with access to our HQ in St. John’s, NL.

Equity Note Frequently cited statistics show that people who identify with historically marginalized groups are likely to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to help us break that statistic and apply even if you don’t meet every single qualification—your potential is what matters most to us.

Junior Hybrid Posted 4 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Slate is looking for a versatile, capable associate producer to help us make our critically acclaimed daily news podcasts, What Next and What Next: TBD. This producer must be hungry to tackle the news, whether that’s finding fresh angles and voices on the biggest headlines of the day or bringing under-covered but essential stories to Slate’s national audience.

The ideal candidate must be flexible—the news moves fast—and ambitious. You don’t take yourself too seriously, but you’re serious about the work. You are kind, collaborative, and generous with your colleagues, but you can articulate concerns and solve problems as they crop up. You have an excellent ear, strong writing chops, a nose for news, and an appreciation for tight deadlines.

Associate producers are hyperorganized and able to work independently. Reporting to a supervising producer, you will be provided with mentorship and clear supervision to help grow your skills and take on more responsibility over time. You will eventually need to move fluidly between pitching, booking, prepping, recording, writing, editing, and mixing—with a degree of creative troubleshooting in between. The ideal candidate will come with a degree of experience in both audio and video editing and production.

This position can be located in Slate’s New York or D.C. office. We will consider remote work for the right candidate. The annual base pay range for this job is between $75,000 and $81,000. This is a position covered under a collective bargaining agreement between Slate and the Writers Guild of America East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a host and team of producers to conceive and develop episodes
  • Implement script notes quickly and sensitively
  • Pull tape and images for use in both audio and video edits
  • Help arrange interviews and oversee recording sessions, often over remote connections
  • Engage in episode mixing, including scoring, sound design, and audio correction
  • Interview and/or preinterview sources
  • Book guests, stringers, and studios
  • Prep host for interview tapings: research guests and prepare and send interview briefs
  • Put together mixes of episodes or episode introductions in Pro Tools and/or DaVinci Resolve
  • Fact-check scripts
  • Select and edit clips for social media and other promotion
  • Attend all production and editorial meetings
  • Lend general editorial feedback throughout the production process
  • Lend general administrative support to all producers and production teams

Requirements

  • At least two years’ experience in radio or podcasting in a journalistic environment
  • At least two years’ experience with professional audio-editing software, preferably Pro Tools
  • A demonstrated ability with video-production software, including DaVinci or Adobe Premiere
  • Excellent writing skills and story sense

$75,000 - $81,000 a year

Slate offers a comprehensive benefits program that gives eligible employees the flexibility to choose the right benefits for themselves and their families. There are three subsidized medical plans and two dental plans, provided by Aetna, which can be paired with flexible spending accounts.
